The center stone, a 7.58-carat cushion-shaped Burmese ruby, flanked by half-moon diamond shoulders, fetched 1,633,000 CHF. The ruby’s unheated status and Burmese origin, certified by SSEF and Gübelin, contributed significantly to its value.
Property of a Lady, Lot 621, featured a Rare and Highly Important Fancy Intense Green colored diamond ring. The central stone, a 4.42-carat cut-cornered square modified brilliant-cut diamond, is flanked by rectangular modified brilliant-cut diamonds. Its rarity and 1,633,000 CHF sale price reflect the scarcity of natural green diamonds, which account for a mere 0.07% of diamonds assessed by the GIA over the past decade.
Lastly, Lot 644, a Rare Fancy Deep Blue diamond ring, captivated attendees with its 3.46-carat cushion-shaped fancy deep blue diamond. Its final bid of 1,421,250 CHF speaks volumes about its desirability. The diamond’s VS1 clarity and natural deep blue color, verified by the GIA, make it a coveted piece among collectors.
